United States Marshal Service Fugitive Task Force Deploying Vector Protection Barriers

New York/New Jersey. The United States Marshal Service Regional Fugitive Task Force is deploying Vector Protection Barriers.. This tool is currently used across the United States helping law enforcement realistically de-escalate violence. When deployed, the "Vector" protects an officer's centerline while creating a safety barrier for civilians and the public resulting in less aggression and better outcomes.

Vector Defensive Systems, LLC owns the patent on this ballistic barrier.

The "Vector" is a protective ballistic barrier used by law enforcement across the United States at federal, state and local levels with unprecedented success.

It has thousands of documented deployments where violence was immediately stopped and de-escalated while officers, suspects and surrounding civilians were protected by the use of these barriers. Many of these instances where violence was de-escalated were direct officer saves against guns, blades, chairs, attacking dogs and other physical attacks in which officers were saved, suspects were not harmed and surrounding civilians were protected by the officers with no shots fired.

The Vector can be used simultaneously with all other tools a law enforcement officer has.

Because it is a safety barrier, the Vector fulfills state-mandated use-of-force de-escalation laws now passed in many states across the country that departments are now required to follow.  It is a "barrier" to place between a subject and an officer in an attempt to de-escalate violence. Vector Realistic De-Escalation Training can also fulfill training requirements for these state-mandated use-of-force de-escalation laws.
